The boys and I went to the beach this afternoon. It was beautiful. The sun was setting and the weather was perfect. The water was way too cold for me but the boys had a great time jumping in the waves. I love hearing them laugh.We found some bait fish and fed the seagulls. One came so close to me that I thought it was going to bite me! I love times like these.

Today I went 'shit shopping' as my friend Milo describes it, another way of saying vintage shopping. We had a great time. I've decide to change my whole home decor to 'shabby chic' so I am starting to collect things I like. So far I've found old keys, window panels, an old wash board, some bottles, a beautiful perfume bottle, an old camera (that I have to go back for)...and a pair of baby shoes my son describes as 'creepy'. I've always been attracted to modern and retro looking things but this vintage thing has got me hooked! There is so much mystery in older things...where does it come from, who wore it, how old is it? I love that. I've decided I want to make a coffee table out of an old door and crackle my armoire. I'm so excited to do it but it will take some time as money is a little tight right now. The end result is gonna be the sweet. I'll post a picture when it's all done.
We went for lunch on the beach and it was yummy! Here's a picture of a wine bottle there I got a kick out of. All in all, it was a great day. :)
